...in the last 12 months, and rate that (their best) performance...

...so...all those who have put in a better than A- level performance ("A- to A", "A", "A to A+" or "A+") in the last 12 months (pick the best), name the opponent and rate their performance.

    e.g. say...Cotto (v. Mosley) - A level performance

    etc...:good

Cotto vs Gomez A (although the match-up was a about a C) so don't know if this fits criteria.

Nate Campbell's perfomance againt "The Baby Bull" deserves an A+
(He took the best Juan could give, and gave much more)

Carlos Quintana's performance against "The Punisher" deserves an A+
(He stopped the hype train, dismantled & humiliated Williams)

Mayweather was an A in the fight performance wise, Hatton was a B- or B max, Hatton won one round clearly and got KTFO, that's an A level performance on Floyd's part.

Tho I agree that Cotto should get an A for his performance vs Shane. The simple fact that you can make an arguement that Mosely won the fight (I had it a draw, tho I wouldnt argue a win either way), doesnt that put Shane in that A range as well?

Absolutely, Shane still is an A level fighter, but not an A+ like he once was. Which means that Cotto as it stands now with no further improvements is a solid A, which makes him elite no doubt, but not a top elite. He could potetially get better though, he's shown very good improvements the last two years.

    At 140 he was a B+, at 147 he's been a solid A, great improvement.

What is your opinion of Cotto vs Gomez. Cotto clearly stood out as an A fighter, but matched up with a C. So can that count?

    Pavlik vs. Miranda - B win vs. a B-.

    Pavlik vs. Taylor 1 - B win vs. a B.

Pavlik vs. Taylor 2 - B- win vs. a B, stylistic advantages allowing him a close victory.

    :good

Yes, A level performances can be done over lesser fighters. That was an A level performer brutally shredding a solid C level fighter. An A level performance over a C is barely taking anything and just totally outclassing/brutalising the opponent. Furthermore, an A+ performance is doing the same to a B- or better and an ATG/Supernatural performance is doing the same to a B+ to A level fighter. RARELY has an A+ dominated another A+, impossible to do.

Same with Gamboa blasting C level Edwards in the 1st, doesn't get anymore A level than that. Though Gamboa was B+ vs. Jimenez due to a few issue's.
