An over the hill Oscar took a prime Floyd to an SD.

A shot Mosley almost took Floyd's head off. They'd both beat him at 147, no question in my mind. 135 could be different.

That was fairly one sided though...but if you are saying in terms of the level it would be fought at, I more or less agree.

at 147 and and 154 its not hard to think of fighters from the past who could beat him.

at 130, 135 though? the list becomes a loooot smaller. Chavez, Duran, Whitaker... Mosley was a nightmare at that weight. And it's not hard to see Floyd winning those too

    1) Oscar fight wasn't close.

    2) Mayweather wasn't close to being stopped, he just got rocked a bit.

    1) It was close enough for the judges, and Oscar made it pretty competitive through 12 rounds. Made Floyd look ordinary. The was his 2nd to last fight before retirement.

    2) Mosley rocked him badly, and a younger Shane would have followed up and at least put him on the canvas.

Okay dumbass, let's go through this slowly.

Yes, it was an over the hill DLH.

Floyd had never fought at 154 before, he was a small WW, actually a far smaller WW than he is now.

DLH chose the ring size (A tiny ring, so Mayweather was forced to imply close range defence rather than use his legs)

DLH chose the gloves, Cleyto Reyes, the punchers gloves. Oscar was the puncher in that fight, Mayweather had brittle hands.

The fight was ruled a SD win, judge Tommy Kazmerick was ridiculed for his choice of DLH as winner, general concensus is Mayweather won 8 - 4 or 7 - 5 at a push.

a 147lbs fight would mean a better Oscar, it would also mean a better and more comftorble Mayweather, I don't see how anyone can dispute that.

Yeah Mosley caught Mayweather in the second round, he then got schooled for the next ten. You can't consider one of those without factoring in the other.

    1) If a way over the hill Oscar can make Floyd look ordinary like that, a younger prime Oscar would score a UD.

    2) yes, he was. Mosley had him squating on the canvas, and Floyd was wobbly for the rest of round . watch that again. Regardless, a younger Shane at 147 is big, fast and hits like a truck and would put Floyd's lights out, I'd bet anything on it. The guys who gave Shane trouble were bigger guys. Guys with with long reach and great jabs i.e. Forrest, Winky Wright, etc. Floyd doesn't fall into that category.

Ok dumbass lets go through it. Who cares what the gloves / ring size were. Oscar was 1 fight away from retirement and took Floyd to an SD, and even if it wasn't that close it was a pretty competitive fight. That was a prime Floyd in there. At 147 Oscar would have more-or-less the same size advantages.

You mean a shot Mosley got schooled. Yeah, go watch Mosley when he was younger back at 147 and tell me how FLoyd survives that round with that guy.

Floyd is not invincible at 147, he's pretty beatable actually. He's relatively small at the weight, doesnt hit hard , and that would give him problems against a lot of the top echelon welters.

Saul Alvarez would Knock Floyd Mayweather out. Floyd's one or two punch style wouldn't hold up to Alvarez' take one give four style.
