Name Any 2 Current Fighters That Could Dominate In Any Era...

There isn't a fighter in history who could dominate any era.

 

The key word here, imo, is dominate. It's a pretty vague and open-ended word, but I usually take it to be one of two things - or both - and that's either where a fighter is undisputably the greatest of his era, by some distance, or cut a swathe through their division, being good enough to do it with no rivals.

So no, I do not think there is any fighter in all of boxing history who would dominate every era of their division.

 

Pacquiao against guys his own size or smaller would be a huge problem in any era.

Let me rephrase that for the benefit of the thread starter. Let's take the word "dominate" out of the equation.
Because its does seem to be causing you some issues. Lest put a word like "top contender".
Name two current boxers, following me so far, George boy...
That would be the top contenders in any era?

For me it would have to be someone in P4P#10 rankings.

• Canelo fails due to drugs. ( he wouldn't get any Clen back in the 50s )
• Tyson just to unstable. ( off his tits on coke + one defence on his record is **** poor )
• Inoue is good ( 3 division champ + no Olympic heritage ) needs to move up a division and get a 4th really.
• Usyk would defo be one ( good amateur + Two weight champ + goes anywhere for a fight )
• Lomachenko would probably be second??? ( three division weight champ + Olympic champ. )
• GGG is a good shout ( beat Roided canelo x2 - that in itself is dominating + One weight champ with amazing amateur heritage. + longest running world MW champ ever! )
• Terrance Crawford ( Three time weight champ + good amateur record. Let down by lack of drive in 147lb division really.... )
• Josh Taylor ( Good but not quite there yet, if he mops the 147lb like he did to 140lb we can talk )

So yeah op, great choice.

I don't believe any current fighter could "dominate" in any area. No current fighter is really dominating this era. Dominate would be like late 80's Mike Tyson, there ain't a fighter currently that is doing that. Win? Yeah. Undefeated? So far. But dominating every single person around them. That ain't happened in any division today so how could anyone expect them to be displaced from this era to another era and expect that?

Now there are a number of fighters today I believe would be competitive in any era.

 

Lomachenko could dominate at 126 any time imo.
