It all boils down to how we individually see it. Everytime I've watched it I gave it to Bowe. Holy had some eye catching moments but I felt Bowe did the steadier more consistent work.

It was a close (and fairly sloppy) fight. I think Fan-Man helped Holyfield and took Bowe out of his rhythm. Without that disruption, I think Bowe would have won the fight going away. But, Bowe only has himself to blame for coming into the second fight in sub-par condition. (A bad habit he just couldn't really seem to shake)

Fan man definitely benefitted Holy. Bowe absolutely was his own worst enemy something I've always maintained.
I still give all 3 to Bowe. Bowe was Holys kryptonite. Holys fans are just to rabid to admit it.

Yeah see In aaclose round i score for the guy who had the eye catching flashy moments because those need to be timed and set up.
Also Bowe had more facial damage in the second fight and was also hurt much more at one point than he was in the first fight.

And I'm not sure if Bowe was just lazy, he worked with Mr.Olympa Lee Haney for the Holyfield rematch(while Holyfield went with Shilstone), I think he tried to put on muscle and it just didn't look good on him because he never had those genetics similar to Larry Holmes.

    Also disagree big-time about fanman.
Holyfield Had won the last few rounds prior to fan man on all cards. Fanman came in round 7.
Larry merchant had holyfield winning rounds 3-6 and Ledermann had him winning 5&6 so the momentum was with evander and if you watch round 7 Bowe was about to try to make a last ditch effort to get Holyfield out of there, would have probably gassed and taken a bigger beating than he did.

But it's a close enough fight where I can see how someone would have scored it for Bowe, I just preferred Holyfields clean, crisp shots that made sweat fly off Bowes face vs Bowes clubbing shots that were partially blocked, braced and absorbed or bounced off Holyfields forehead.

Also why I like Canelo Alvarez's style over GGGs everything he does just looks so much crisper.(I did have GGG winning 7-5 though)

Clubbing Punchers don't "do it for me" prefer Tyson over Foreman as well. That's just me

Some would say Tyson after Spinks.

Holyfield after Tyson, that was his last spirited prime performance(the Moorer and Bowe 3 fights made it look like he was shot but his reflexes and Handspeed clearly weren't), he slowed down and started mauling more and more after that

RJJ after Ruiz and especially Tarver. The drop in weight, the resulting punishment taken in the first fight and the KO in the second really accelerated his natural decline

it was apparent that after Rosario.. Bramble had the right style for Mancini and he was not as good as we all thought.

    Duran after beating Leonard.

Duran moved up in weight and beat the most hyped fighter of all time in his prime. And did it in violent fashion. He beat the daylights out of SRL.

After that he got fat. Duran was a poor and ignorant man who came from nothing. After he beat Leonard he was on Mt. Everest. You couldn't climb any higher.

So he got fat and indulged in lifes gluttony that money, success and fame bring. He lost his hunger and his body lost its fitness.

Duran never felt like he had gotten his due. But after beating up the most hyped fighter of all time in front of everybody. He finally got the respect he deserved.
