    A lot of them, although proper World Champions, made a lot of defences as merely titlists, all be it some of them, brilliant ones.

    For example Lewis was World Champion from Briggs though to Rahman and post RahmanII, that is (cheating) eight combined defences, tops, as pre Briggs fights were just title fights IMO.

    Lewis is an all time top 100 fighter, but making 10 defences of a proper World Championship, should be considered something very special and not tainted with alphabet rubbish one Hungarian Light Heavy being the exception to prove the rule:yep.

    I am of the opinion it is better to complement the few a lot, rather than the masses a bit.

    Sean O'Grady must of made more than 10 defences of Daddies WAA Lightweight title.

    i never thought that there are almost 50 fighters that had 10 or more successful of the WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO titles...just shows how much boxing title fights in recent years had been a joke
