I disagree that 10 defenses proves much anymore other than clever match making. For example Joe Calzaghe would not have made as many defenses if I had fought other decent fighters on paper he is a great and in 20 years time people will probably have him as a top 20 p4p fighter based on his record because we look back with nostalgia, glossing over the fact that he fought has beens and never were's.

Oh my god not this again.

    Chris Eubank
    Robin Reid
    Richie Woodhall
    Sakio Bika
    Omar Sheika
    Byron Mitchell
    Charles Brewer
    Jeff Lacy
    Mikkel Kessler
    Bernard Hopkins

Just for starters. 4 previous world champs, 4 current world champions. Can't you just open your eyes and have a bit of respect? It's been done to death.
Rather than giving the guy **** why don't you try reading up on him a bit and watch some of his fights. It shouldn't take you too long to see you're talking out of your arse.
This thread is NOT about Joe Calzaghe apart from adding his name to a list of distinguished boxers.

This thread is no about him but he personifies the point I am making.

That list is pretty terrible. Only 2 names (Eubank & Hopkins) are worth mentioning and they were past it. As for people like Bika, Sheika, Woodhall & Lacy.......poor show son, poor show.

Which other boxers on the lists do you find are nothing special and have padded records?

that's the hard fact that we have to face. Jcal will forever be the yardstick used in measuring the future 168 greats. He is timeless.
