Sorry, but there's absolutely no way Jack Johnson beats Vitali. Not under modern rules.

Johnson's style was specialized for something that was essentially dirty boxing with MMA gloves. With modern rules and refs, Vitali clobbers him.

Watch Jack Johnson's footage on Youtube if you don't believe me.

I think prime Holmes gives Vitali hell. Stylistic nightmare for good old Vit.

I would not pick any heavyweight in history over Prime Vitali. No one.

You're talking about a 6' 7" guy with power, great chin, great jab, great timing, great counterpunching, amazing athletic ability, heart, and nastiness. Vitali is a mean dude.

If anyone beat him, I think it would have to be some kind of flukey thing like the Lewis and Byrd fights. Some kind of injury or cut. Other than that, maybe some speed/skill demon like Ali. But Vitali would make Ali look like a kid with the size difference.

Vitali is one of the most dominant fighters I've ever seen.

That would be a great fight. I would pay good money to see that fight.

I love Holyfield, he's one of my favorite fighters ever. That would be a hell of a fight.

I think Vitali wins because of the size difference, but it would be a war. Holyfield isn't afraid of anyone.

Put all of Vitali's opponents and himself in the Ali era, and you will see how the media all of a sudden will glorify Vitali and his opponents as the greatest of all time simply by being in the same era as Ali.:good

Prime Lewis (without having to win a bs tko6 due to cuts)

And a lot of Americans will ofc say Frazier, Ali, Holyfield, Foreman and insert any American champion through the ages, I'm afraid I don't agree...

You're trying too had to convince yourself that Vitali's opponents are better than what the really are.
No intelligent person will mistake Samuel Peter (Vitali's best win ) for George Foreman. The huffing puffin peter that was schooled by out of shape former middleweight James Toney.
Don't even get me started with that blown up former super middleweight that Vitali quit against.
Vitali is the most overrated heavyweight of the last 20. The man feasted on out of shape club fighters. As soon as he fought someone his own size (Lennox Lewis) he got his face thorn apart.

    You don't belong here.

You belong in the pseudo-intellectual circle jerk that is the classics section.

Off course watching undersized black fighters in black and white grainy footage makes you fancy yourself as some sort of boxing know-it-all.

You're a real clown, as well as anyone who thinks Johnson, Louise, Liston, or Frazier stood any sort of chance against an athletic super heavyweight like Lennox Lewis, Wlad, or Vitali.
