Im not sure about the question though, is it any fighter that fought between those years, or the body of work done in those years?

Edit for people trying to get smart with this post, I was ranking them in order so its clear from this post I rate Pac/RJJ resume above PBF.

 

So beating Mosley trumps everything floyd's done? Just because you step in the ring with Margarito and get your brains beat out doesn't mean it's great for your resume.

Apart from RJJ, PBF's reume is is quite nice compared to anyones.

 

Well he has fought many of the same fighters as Floyd, and beaten a few more convincingly. His win over Mosley is better than any of Floyd's wins, plus he has been in with other top welterweights like Margarito, and was thoroughly outclassing him before the plaster did for him. He's also getting in with Clottey.

These are all good names, many of whom he handed their first losses. The main reason I say his resume is better than Floyd's is the presence of top welterweights such as Margarito, Mosley and Clottey. Three noticeable names missing from Floyd's.

 

Actually if you look at it Cotto's resume is very good and he is a few yewars younger than Mayweather.
It's not as good but could be.

 

He hasn't even fought Cltotey but you've listed him on his resume.


You do also realize that WW is Floyds 4th weight class. Unlike this being the 2nd class for Cotto.
