With this I mean... We have fighters that are or have been avoided for some time becasue they were not necesarily popular or "crowd pleasing" but would definately make you look bad or perhaps the risk vs the $$$ it's not there.

I'll give you an example. Take Winky Wright. a guy that has one of the best defense in boxing today but doesn't necesarily get any love from the top boxers. What other boxers would you say that suffers from the same thing? You may go back in history if you want...

Zahir Raheem - after he beat Morales he never got the big fight his win deserved.
Joan Guzman - although he doesnt help himself by fighting once every 18 months.
Steve Molitor - I dont think any of the other top fighters at 122 will be in a hurry to call him out.
Ivan Calderon - although theres less to choose from at his weight.

    Historically

Dariusz Michalczewski should have got the unification fight with RJJ.

Lots more over the years but Ill leave them for someone with better knowledge than me.

    Carl Froch

But thts on domestic level, Taylor chose a broken Lacy over Froch tho.

Demetrius Hopkins, He been after big fight for a while now

Good call, Froch has been waiting for ages for his big fight and it doesnt seem to be getting any closer. Taylor was always going to go for Lacy - bigger name, lower risk

And Ill bet he regrets not taking that fight now. Could have been him with the WBC strap instead of Bradley.
