To be fair, I've just rewatched the Lopez bout, and yeah...apart from the points you highlighted, their styles are not similar at all.

Maybe it was because I havn't watched it since it was Live...but I remember at the time that Concepcion reminded me of a young Pacquiao.

 

There definitely is a Central Asian "style" that has been shared by a lot of fighters from that part of the world - Tszyu, Provodnikov, Kid Diamond, Nazarov, Shumenov, etc., and to a lesser extent, Golovkin and Sim.

Not necessarily meaning that they move the same, but you generally have a decent idea of a fighter's priorities when they come from central Asia, sort of the same way you can usually make a pretty good guess as to how someone fights from what part of Mexico they're from.
