From weight drained CW's to bloated Welterweights, which fighter has the best chance at beating Andre Ward at 168, most likely in Oakland for the WBC and WBA SMW titles.

I'm gonna' get blasted for this, but, maybe someone with equal or more athletic ability - Andre Dirrell. Not saying he'd win, but he'll give Ward a harder night than most others.

Roy if you transport his 90s self to 2012.

Other than that, Ward getting beaten ain't happening.

Dirrell would give him problems early on but Ward would break him down and beat him up. No one out there can outbox him. Best chance is a monstrous puncher who can land something huge and KO him like Golovkin, but that is a long shot.

Bute would KO him yes. And in brutal fashion as you say, but Ward won't ever take that fight because he knows what most know.

Other fighters who would smoke that punk are Golovkin, Chavez, Pascal, and Tony Dirrel.
I'd give Oosthuzen, E Rod, and Nathan Cleverly a shout to smoke him as well.:think

    If I can interfere, Hopkins.

Ward hasn't fought anybody who has been able to dictate the terms of the fight to him. I think Hopkins is one of very (and I do mean very) few modern era fighters who'd of had the ring smarts to do it. James Toney being another.

Golovkins superior balance and footwork is such that every time Ward moved forward to the inside, GGG would sidestep and punish him with the lardest shots he'd ever been touched with.
It wouldnt be a fluke. GGG would KO Ward 1000/999 times.:deal
