From what I gathered those two didn't want to fight each other in the Super 6 because they felt it would be a big money PPV fight later on.

    I agree.

Dirrell is not big money. He's now burned his bridges with both Showtime and HBO. Neither wants to have anything to do with him.

Lucian Bute , Andre Dirrell and B-Hop have a good chance or at least they would give him a tough fight ! :yep

Don't forget Sakio Bika ; definitely he can make Ward look bad !

Pascal till he gasses and Andre Dirrell have a chance, no one else has a chance
against Ward. Dawson looked like **** though, I mean it has to be a
record for the least punches thrown in a 12 round fight after 10 rounds.
No doubt he had no zip

Really that is why his last fight was on Showtime?

Dirrell needs one big fight and he and Ward can setup something big.

Andre Dirrell is all that is left for Ward (in terms of competition) at 168.

If you go to 175, he has some names there but nothing special..Dawson beats anyone at 75 and Ward just demolished him. Ward at 68 has Dirrell left.

Just thinking, and I don't believe there is anyone at 75 aside from a Kessler rematch at 75.

    Dirrell at 168
Kessler rematch at 175 in a year or two
Dawson rematch at 175 in a year or two.
Froch rematch...I think Ward is just running out of opponents.

Only Andre Dirrell would have a chance imo, and that's not because i think he's the second best Super-Middleweight in the world (Froch is), but because he has the physical attributes that could potentially offset Ward's outstanding mental and technical game.

I would favour Ward to win via points decision, but Dirrell could cause him alot of problems if he used his size and length to keep Ward at bay and fight on the outside for the majority of the bout. He'd have to fight the perfect, disciplined fight as Ward is sensational (Hopkins-esque already) at removing a fighters advantages, making adjustments and getting inside when he has to. He's also fantastic at actually working on the inside when he gets there and he knows every little trick in the book. Punching on the referees blind side, getting his feet in the correct position, using feints, pivoting, correct punch selection on the inside aswell as punch variation (he's introduced the uppercut more recently). He really is turning into the complete fighter and it'll take someone with a big advantage in physical attributes to beat him imo.

One thing that never gets mentioned about Ward is his tremendous physical strength. He's not the biggest Super-Middleweight (176 in the ring last night apparently), but everyone that's been in with him mentions that he's very, very strong physically and the way he ties people up on the inside is perfect from a technical point of view. He maximises every last pound of his bodyweight and shows his strength off very well.

A younger Hopkins vs Ward would have been a GREAT fight to see. The technical in-fighting would have been wonderful to watch and i really couldn't call it. Master vs Pupil and a genuine 50/50 fight. The only thing i'm sure of is the referee for this one has my ****ing sympathy, he'd be in for a tough nights work!

Only Dirrell has a decent chance at 168 for me. Froch in Nottingham in 2nd place behind him, but i wouldn't give him much chance at all. Ward is the real deal.
