I like Zab. Super Zab provides boxing with more "what the ****" moments than anyone since Tyson.

Hard to find a heavyweight who has faced tougher competition than John Ruiz.

I tend to disagree BIG TIME

    Wlad fought

    Chagaev- UNDEFEATED true belt holder
    Rahman- former UNDISPUTED heavyweight champion
Thompson- unbeaten besides only loss in 5th pro fight
    Ibragimov- UNDEFEATED true belt holder
    Brewster- former champ
Austin- was on decent run. Still top ten
    Brock- UNDEFEATED. Top ten
Byrd- Best champ at that time.
    Peter- UNDEFEATED future champ
    Castillo- UNDEFEATED

HELL of a line up if you ask me. All him last ten opponents were in top then and not only did he fight them. Dominated them in KO reels or made them quit. How you compare that to Ruizs??

people always talk about Zab should retire or that hes **** but he has only lost to top level guys. Hes always been a small welter and there are a lot of fights out there for him at 140 that would still be interesting. Hatton, JMM, Kahn, Bradley I would love to see him fight there. There isnt any point of him staying at 147 because first of all hes actually fought just about everyone there other than Mosley and Pac and he wont win those fights, second I think he would do a lot better at 140 where his power will be more potent.

Plus hes young, I forget how old he is but he is younger than PBF, so hes like what 31 now or so?

Last five opponents starting back in 2007 (It's now 2010, by the way):

    Edwin Vazquez 22-10-2

    Ryan Davis 20-6-2

    Joshua Clottey 34-2-0

    Ernest Johnson 18-2-1

    Ubaldo Hernandez 22-19-2

He fought only one name opponent in his last five fights, and he lost. The Super Pooper is on a roll of epic relevance with his picks. And you hate on Miguel Cotto. :rofl

People are so quick to forget what it was like 5-6 years ago when Don King ruled the division and you had all these close fights and gift decisions. Ruiz magically kept holding on to his belt, just when you thought he was gone Toney tests positive, Jones vacates and they give it back to him or they steal the fight away from Golota who even dropped him a few times. Ruiz is lucky he never fought Chris Byrd, he would have became the first Heavyweight champion to loose to 3 former middleweights:lol:.

You had all these close fights and poor Golota couldnt get a belt no matter how many DK fighters he beat. But now we atleast have a champion. Everyone always bitches about Wlad doesnt fight anyone, but seriously he has fought every one out there and each new guy is supposed to be the one to give him all kinds of problems but only after the fight when Wlad wins every round without breaking a sweat does the guy become a bum.
