    For one, the first fight wasn't close and leonard nowhere near pulled it off.

    For two, I meant the rematch.

    He might not have been all that old, but he certainly was far from his best shape (or are you saying that the SMW Duran was as fast as the LW Duran?).

    There is no reason to believe he wasn't prime going into the first fight with Ali... or even their rematch. Based off of what? His age? His previous fights? Like I said, no indication.

    Curits Cokes vs Napoles No.1

    (Cokes had been welter champ for 3 years and had begun to slide a little).

    The rematch 4 months later was for the paycheck only.....Cokes was clearly on the downside then...after taking a such a beating the first time around.
