I'd put Wilder instead of Fury.

    World fighters:

    Joshua 40%
    Medhzidov 30%
    Povetkin 25%
    Usik 25%
    Dychko 25%

Fury, Wilder, Helenius, Parker, Ortiz would have 20% or less, IMO.

You guys are far too generous in your percentages to these other heavyweights, haha.

-Jennings makes the list because he has fought Wladimir tougher than anyone other than those who have defeated him.
-Joshua and Wilder deserve some mention for their physique and punchers' chance.
-Povetkin, despite already losing to him, is an obvious shout out due to merit of being the best non-Klitschko HW in the Klitschko Era.

Fury, Wilder, Stiverne, Povetkin, Joshua. Among people ready to fight Wlad, I'm most concerned about Fury, he's a boom or bust guy, I think people are underrating the matchup problems his size, speed, and volume punching could pose to Wlad if his defense and chin are better than advertised. Joshua may be the biggest overall threat, but he's clearly not ready. There are really some dangerous contenders out there right now, more so than a few years ago. I think Wlad will go on to unify and break Joe Louis's record, and I'm routing for him to do it, but there's a decent chance he loses along the way, especially as he gets older.

I just.... can't, lol. There aren't five HWs out there who have a good chance of beating Wladimir... and a 5% chance is closer to the reality which is zero. :p

    But on a serious note:

In the HW division, there's usually a "puncher's chance" more often than not. However, I believe Wlad is just going to continue racking up wins. He's mastered the art of nullifying his opponent's offense -- you can't beat what you can't hit in boxing. Fury, Wilder, Helenius... they don't have the skills to win. Wlad is on another level compared to these guys. Joshua? Parker? They're way too green right now to even consider.

The second best HW in the world is Alexander Povetkin in my opinion. He lasted 12 with Wladimir and has KO'ed 3 decently ranked HWs since losing to him. I think that if Povetkin takes Wilder's strap, the rematch should happen. Povetkin has proved he deserves a rematch, which (if he beats Wilder) will be a unification fight. Wladimir will win, but at least the clear 1 and 2 will be fighting for the undisputed HW Championship of the World.

5% is not a huge likelyhood - I reckon Joshua, Povetkin, Parker, Fury and Wilder realistically are above that 5%. That's a 1/20 chance. None of them would have as bad as 1/20 odds if the fight happened, imho.

Saying 50% is saying it's an even fight, saying 75% for Wilder above is ridiculous but saying 95%+ for Klitschko against all of those guys is also getting a bit out of hand. It's basically guaranteeing that there isn't a chance for one of these guys to land a KO punch, or bunch of punches - it is NOT an impossible concept imho.

The interesting thing about this is that every 6 months that Wlad remains at the top, the percentages are going to creep up.

The question is sort of about now, but none of the fighters mentioned except Fury are going to be in play in the very near future. Wlad deserves much credit for still being a force at an age when many other HW champions were fading fast.

If we name five it should be noted that the 5th in line is probably going to fight a 2017 version of him if he's still there.

Joshua (15%), Povetkin (10%).....Usyk (on points), Fury, Wilder (5%).

Gaye is also around 10% when active but I don't think he'll come back to how he was now.

Basically anyone who can really punch and has decent speed has a shot. Charles Martin might be somebody to look out for as his left is freaking monstrous. Pulev is another guy who arguably has 5% (ie he could probably win 1/20), but then again he doesn't punch hard enough and there was a huge speed differential when he got in there with Wlad.

You guys are picking Parker? I'm gonna have to take a look at some video.

You just described Parker, then decided to investigate Parker - good call ;)

He has been growing FAST so if you are going to get any idea, look over the last 12 months (Keith Thompson, Sherman Williams, Costa Jr, Jason Pettaway) but especially his fights since he sparred in the Klitschko camp, where he realised the work ethic required to become a champion and moved up a gear... so Yakup Saglam and Bowie Tupou. You can see definite progression with him in every fight, so by the time he's had 20 things should be getting quite interesting.
