Froch has the better resume but, I'll say Calz was the better fighter. Aside from Hopkins, Froch has him beat! Nobody on Calz resume, at the time he beat them, was better than Ward, When Froch lost to him.

 

I look forward to reading Herol Gee's latest Calzaghe bashing essay in this thread.

It'll prob use his favourite term 'Cowardzaghe' repeatedly whilst he claims that this doesn't accuse the former SMW and LHW champ of being a coward.

Don't forget, Froch was lucky he had the super 6 tournament to thank for half of those names.

Calzaghe got badly handled by frank and ended up farting about with the likes of tocker pudwill.
Once he smashed lacy to pieces he chased fights with taylor and kessler, the kessler fight eventually came about although taylor priced himself out big time!
meanwhile froch was only just beating robin reid for the british title, he didnt want any part of JC back then.

Although both jones jr and hopkins being past there prime if it wasnt for calzaghe leaving frank he would never have gotten those fights, frank was happy at the time for joe to have an easy wbo defence against robert steiglitz.

 

Froch lost the Dirrell fight 10-2. Disgusting hometown cooking.
Lost to Ward 119-109.
Lost to prime Kessler.

 

Not asking who the better fighter was, asking who had the better resume.

 

frochs takes a sizable dump on calzaghes

 

dirrell ran the whole fight, you cant come over the pond and expect to win a world title that way.

the kessler fight froch had to travel to denmark the day of the fight due to some volcano erupting and a big smoke cloud, he even said after the fight he had problems climatising in such a short space of time.

 

dirrell to dominate and embarrass froch on his home turf...and I like froch

 

Name for Name Froch's is better but it sort of loses the merit when you include the losses

 

ya the losses(of which I include dirrell imo) kind of take some of the sting off of it

but I think losing to a prime ward, very good Kessler and 2009 dirrell isn't that bad....not direct comparison...but sort of like being a cotto and losing to Floyd and pac......I mean ward...we know who he is.....I think an 09 dirrell might have been darn close to as good as ward although different.....and Kessler around that time was a p4p entrant.......

I think think anyone of those guys might have been better than anyone on calzages resume
