Kessler wasnt prime, yet still beat froch.
Froch is a B fighter while joe is an A fighter.

Joe has far better wins which is what matters, only thing that matters

2007 Kessler is the best win on both list. Froch maybe fought the best, but he also lost twice. If i only counts the victories, then i rank Calzaghe's recordlist higher. Hopkins (still world class - defeated boxers like Pavlik, Cloud and Pascal - and he had 8 title fights afterwards winning 4), 2007 Kessler (much better than 2013 Kessler), 2006 Jeff Lacy (undefeated and 4 title defenses, Calzaghe dominated all 12 rounds), David Starie and prime Robin Reid.

I get what you're saying! I was thinking who faced better opposition, not thinking about wins and losses.

lol.....so a loss to ward doesn't help anything?

so if we take gggs current resume...and compare it to gggs....strictly talking resume and not who has better skills....frochs doesn't compare? even though he lost to ward? so the ward fight doesn't count? froch gets no credit for taking a tough fight?

    talk about jesus h chryst

When you look at the list compiled, Calzaghe's resume doesn't look that good with Peter Manfredo being the only opponent across both lists not ever being a titlist. Calzaghe had a win over Bika that was not tidy but an underrated win considering what Bika did afterwards (Not much but he won a title eventually and was in fights with world class fighters).

Calzaghe also fought a way past it Jones Jr. However his win over Kessler eclipses any Froch win. Froch lost against Kessler, Dirrel (Really) and Ward. Calzaghe's only closely contested win from that list is Reid. YES not Hopkins. The Hopkins fight was terrible but Joe clearly won. Hopkins gets no credit for fighting so pathetically and feigning injury then crying about it afterwards.

Thats the thing about GGG, I think he's a good fighter who should have a better resume but doesn't. He should be fighting a better calibre of fighters. He has some solid wins but his timing hasn't been reat. Sergio, Froch et al were on the way out when GGG was trying to get started and build in America.

He really needs to move up if he doesn't get the Canelo fight.

ggg supposedly sells out arenas....is hbos darling...has hbos backing and full push

yet cant get fights....something doesn't add up jquest....

    anyways...this isn't about him

frochs resume is better than calzaghes or gggs.....just because he lost to a top 3 p4p fighter doesn't subtract from his resume....resume lists experience...not just your triumphs

    Carl Froch by a mile.

Calzaghe's best win was against Hopkins who still had a decent amount left in his tank.

    In a H2H matchup, I'd favor Joe C though.

The only time Dirrell managed to embarrass anyone is that time when he brought up Dr Shaw Hi, embarrassing himself. Oh wait, and that time when he faked in the ring to disqualify AA

You can't blame Frank for how Joe's career turned out.

Everyone knows what route Frank likes to take his fighters, and Joe was more than happy to oblige.

Nobody forced Joe to stay with his Frank all of those years.

Out of Joe's 21 WBO title defences, only 5 of those fights were mandatories. Which meant he was happy to fight those other 16 fighters. Frank is also on record as claiming that Joe was once happy to fight a guy called Freeman Barr.

Just before they both split, Frank wanted him to forget about fighting Roy, to fight Kelly Pavlik instead.
