Who really cares about the resumes? The simple fact of the matter is that Froch is so freaking slow that Calzaghe would of had a hey day with him. Probably a shutout.

he never hurt lacy badly, he lasted the distance. And claiming someone starting chasing people at the age of 35, frankly, is damning them with feint praise. U r making joe look bad.

As much as I hate it, it's hit and don't get hit. Dirrell put on a masterclass that night and was the ring general.

England to Denmark, it's a 90 minute flight lol. Besides, it's Denmark, there is no big climatisation needed. Instead, Froch beat a war torn, past prime Kessler. A good achievement in a very entertaining fight, but certainly not the same Kessler.

I didnt say he hurt him badly I just said he smashed him to pieces which he pretty much did for 12 rounds.

and at 35 Joe even said 'i only want the big fights from now on' so he chased them as in traveled to jones jr and hopkins backyard.

    :hi:

What an utterly pointless statement from an utterly pointless poster. Froch lost to Ward, and so the fight is irrelevant.

Froch has a better resume, Froch to be honest has one of the best resumes in this era.

Froch certainly struggled at a higher level than Calzaghe

Why are you including Peter Manfredo at the expence of the likes of Byron Mitchell, Charles Brewer, Richie Woodhall or Omar Sheika? Is it because Manfredo holds a stoppage win over Froch in the amateurs? :think

That's not the reason. But it's a good one. The real reason is he wants to load the dice in Froch's favour to convince the legion of clueless idiots who post on this forum.

Those highlights are edited in a certain bias manner, but it's clear to anyone who saw the full fight that while Dirrell did fight in a negative manner for portions (excessive movement), he also stood right in front of Froch numerous times. Unfortunately, all Froch could hit was air. Dirrell also landed the hardest, most meaningful shot of the fight, giving Froch the stanky leg.

Froch looked like am amateur in there, missing more often than not. Anyone who really thinks Froch deserves that victory is letting their hate of Dirrell or love of Froch blind their reason and understanding of the sport. And I don't even like Dirrell, but he won that fight by outboxing Froch - ie hit and don't get hit.

Looks a very ignorant post from someone who I guess hasnt been watching the division for long and doesnt know the history.
Why would you have Manfredo or Bika in there compared to some of the other names on calzaghes resume?

    Easily Calzaghe

Just look at the names and where they were at the time or in the weight division.

Eubank is a greater name than any on Frochs resume as well as prime Kessler and consider faded Kessler beat Froch, but lets look even deeper.

    Pascal wasnt a top SMW
Taylor wasnt a top SMW and on a run of 1-2
    Dirrell wasnt a top SMW
Kessler was very faded when Froch got the win
    Abraham wasnt a top SMW
Johnson was a faded boiled down fighter who wasnt a top SMW
    Ward, Froch lost to
Bute was a very good win for Froch

Now when it comes to Calzaghe I notice you have missed so many names -
    - R Woodhall who had been a SMW champ,
    - C Brewer who had been a SMW champ,
    - M Veit who had been a SMW champ
    - B Mitchell who had been a 2 time SMW champ

You noted faded, boiled down G Johnson but failed to note that when Johnson was prime he lost to Sheika for the chance to fight Calzaghe, so Sheika would be above Johnson at SMW.

Funny thing is fighters like Mketchyan have a better SMW resume than many on Frochs list there.

Seperate subject - Froch lost to Manfredo as an amateur

How has he a better resume than
    Eubank
    Mitchell
    Lacy
    Kessler
    Veit
    Brewer
    Woodhall
    Bika
    Reid

Who all had been or became SMW champs

Funny thing is, many would have favoured Hopkins of today to have beaten Froch let alone the version Calzaghe beat
