I'll start the thread with great Marvin Hagler. He had an official 'knockdown', but everyone knows it was a wrong call. He was also never hurt/on unsteady legs in any of his 60+ fights. Hearns landed his best shots but couldn't hurt Hagler. What a chin!

Was James Toney ever seriously hurt?

Hagler for sure. Mugabi landed a sick uppercut on Hagler and he did not budge.
I think Peter might of stunned Toney but he was fighting a guy that was 260 pounds while Toney started his career at 160

Hagler was the first to come to mind.

I wouldn’t say Hearns landed his best shot though, because Hagler fought the right game plan and kept close to him.

Hearns was most dangerous when he got distance on the right hand. He would get full leverage when he got distance for the right (Cuevas, Duran). Hagler fought like a bull and closed the distance. Not only did this work in not allowing Hearns to get full leverage on the right hand, but Hearns was just plain hard to outbox from the outside anyway.

I’ve always thought it was one of the best examples of a fighter changing from his usual fight style and expecting the plan to perfection.

I thought Hagler looked more bothered by Cyclone Hart at the end of one of the rounds when they fought.

Toney is a better example than Hagler overall, though he was floored by Roy Jones.

He seemed kind of hurt by Reggie Johnson.

Sam Peter hurt him with some shots that seemed to land around the temple area and probably messed with Toney’s equilibrium.

It was actually that fight that convinced me that Toney is one of the toughest guys to ever lace em up. Toney was taking hard shots from a huge heavy handed HW, and stayed in there and won 7 rounds on my card.

That was only a few months after Toney fought Hasim Rahman and suffered a lacerated kidney.

Both he & Sal Sanchez would be great examples of what the OP was asking for, except they have been knocked down unfortunately.

Sweet Reggie had him legit shaken and stunned with that early knockdown.

He did that. Reggie was a good puncher. Great timing and snap. He nearly took William Guthrie's head off at light heavy when he moved up.

How about some of the less famous guys like Saoul Mamby or Billy Graham? i think they might have gone through long careers without touching down ever. Kid Gavilan?

I don't think Golovkin was ever dropped to the canvas but I do recall Derevyanchenko hurting GGG to the body in the last minute of round 5 of their fight. One of the only times where GGG looked hurt and uneasy.
