I think boxrec had him like 27th. He wasn't ranked by The Ring or The Transnational ratings. I'd like to know where boxrec had him BEFORE Boystov.

 

My point is that since Vitali was the #1 contender for five years, those were five years Wlad wasn't going to be fighting the #1 contender.

Wlad fought the #2 contender in 2009, 2011 and 2013. He'll probably fight the #1 contender either this year or next.

So since 2009 he's fought 4 unranked fighters and 2 guys he already beat. That leaves 3good wins in Povetkin, Haye and Chageav, plus the so so win over Chambers. Wow, boxing fans should be dazzled!!

 

2010 he fought two mandatories and it took about a year to get that assh-le Haye into the ring.
