Leapai wasn't a great challenger by any means and he put up a poor effort(a lot of credit should go to Wlad for that part) but he's far from the worst challenger ever.

These are some of the guys just Joe Louis defended against, forget some of the other poor challengers in history.

    Harry Thomas
    Johnny Paycheck
    Tony Musto
    Red Burman
    Gus Dorazio
    Al McCoy
Jack Roper( he had 40 losses when Louis defended his title against him)

This doesn't include defenses against guys who you could also argue were worse challengers

    Tony Galento
    John Henry Lewis

Maybe I'm not giving one or two of those guys enough credit and they were actually better than Leapai but thats still 9 guys who Louis alone fought that were worse or atleast on par to Leapai.

Forget those other two, why is Red Burman a worse title opponent? He beat a bunch of ranked/previously ranked guys, Billy Ketchel, Gus Dorazio, Tommy Farr, old Johnny Risko, Tony Musto.

Dennis Boytsov somehow cancels all this, does he?

But listing John Henry Lewis is ludicrous, yeah.

Even Johnny Paycheck was ranked, beat Ettore and Levinsky.

There was only one belt at Louis' time not like maybe 30 fighters today who could claim they are in the top 10.

Louis fought every No.1 contender except one who was only No.1 for a few weeks.

Wlad hasn't ducked anybody but he is fighting very poor opposition. The worst in heavyweight history.

    Boytsov is obviously a bum.
Not sure why people are mentioning him.

Leapai should have come in at 169 lbs.
He might have actually be able to dodge some punches.

    No, just no.

Wlad chooses to cheat because he cannot fight inside period.

Povetkin did not "determine" the amount of Wlad clinches.

Slipping jabs with his head and moving into range then fighing inside is completely legal and Wlad jumping on his back when he does so is not.

He should be punished when he does that and he does it to all the inside fighters.

Oh he certainly a better and more knowledgeable poster than myself. But thank you for letting me know how closely you follow my posts. Are you going to turn this into a trolling and insult thread now because you got owned?

    Apparently he doesn't have to.

If Povetkin stayed on the outside there would be way less clinching.

    Who said it wasn't?

The assumption is that other people would be punished if they did the same things as Wlad and they aren't. Did John Ruiz ever get DQ'd for clinching?
