So that's how you decide between fighters then? That's the sole basis? Felix Trinidad was a greater fighter than Marvin Hagler then. Great logic. :patsch

well as hagler beat numerous top fighters and was a champion bit of a stupid comparison. Hagler a guy who won world titles and trinidad who won world titles. :patsch

If you are speaking in a p4p sense then why do you keep talking about fighting? Which is it, p4p or h2h? :patsch

First Freddie Pendleton is well respected albeit not considered top tier and the reason for that is exactly what you mentioned. Like you said "One of the best resumes" He fought them all. But he didnt beat anyone of note except Mayweather who is a B at most and got Koed or dominated by all the big names he fought thats why he's irrelevant in this discussion

Performance not only names, this is precisely why JMM is so well regarded, because of his performance against top notch opposition. What has he done, beat an old Mab, a shot Corrales, lost to John close. drew and close dec to PAC. Oh yeah he's no3p4p

You say Reid was better because he won titles and Graham never. Well if that's your sole basis for saying he is better as you implied, then Trinidad is better than Hagler on the same principle, more titles - plus Trinidad won at multiple weights. :patsch

Paper achievements are not the only important factor dimwit.

it is p4p as they are a different weight class obviously calzaghe whips them h2h as he is a bigger guy, go back a few pages and you will see this has been discussed.
I think calzaghe whips everyone of macallums list of fighters bar jones in both a p4p and h2h sense.

I am well aware of how respected Pendleton is thanks. But the fact remains that name-wise he has a great resume, but in reality he does not as he lost the vast majority of his big fights.

Mosley lost to the three best fighters he fought after Oscar. To me, that is not a positive thing to have on your resume. Other than the Oscar wins, his resume is awful for a guy with his talent. Jones's is clearly better.

your pretty poor at this, winning no titles does make a very big difference if you come up short at every chance you have how can you say they are a better fighter than someone who takes the chance. It is like in football people say arseanl are a great team as they play pretty football, it doesn't count if you don't win.
Sucess is measured on wins and in the way you win or come back from defeat.

What do you mean "whip" them in a p4p sense? You mean you rank him higher than them p4p? Please tell me I haven't been wasting my time debating with someone who subscribes to that awful notion of imagining fighters of different weights fighting each other.

McCallum's resume opposition is stronger than Calzaghe's, whether Joe himself would beat them or not.

He was still a better middleweight than Reid or Woodhall were at supermiddleweight though. Easy.

But it isn't measured in titles though. You have a very narrow understanding of boxing. Nicky Cook holds a superfeatherweight title right now - do you think he is a better/greater fighter than Angel Manfredy? Would you fancy him to beat Manfredy h2h? :smoke
