Im curious to know. Seems like every top boxer had a 2 round guy to look good against. Whether they were better than planned is regardless. I cant think of a boxer in their prime period who didnt cherry pick a fight

Oscar De La Hoya. Never ducked anyone, even went up to 160 to fight Hopkins.

Certainly early in his career when he fought Barrera, Marquez, and Bradley within a year. But by the time he was fighting old Mosley and shot Margarito one could argue he was cherry picking. And I'm a Pac fan btw.

Name me a boxer who has fought someone as bad as Berto while being ranked p4p number 1 in the world, is a better question.

'Cherry picking' is subjective and has contexts.... that Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in the world and is considered universally as the best boxer on the planet and he chose someone whose had a half significant win in the ring in FOUR YEARS is a joke

Holyfield had some cherrypicks. Cooper was a fringe contender at best, and Vaugn Bean wasn't even that. (Although both actually wound up giving him some problems)

Amir Khan. Go on tell me when Khan has cherry picked, and don't say brook cause he will fight brook and teach that guy a lesson and some manners

In recent times he has obviously stayed away from punchers. That said he does still fight top opposition for the most part.
