on the same level or more as Whitaker did. The fighter you pick needs to have beaten near the same level of foes and outboxed them as convincingly. While KOing somebody is a form of outboxing.... that isn't really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for outboxing your foe and dominating for the vast majority of a fight. For example, if you dominate your foe and end up KOing him in the 10 or 12 or 15... those could qualify.. since it was domination boxing and the KO came later. Just no early or mid round KO's. Who do you pick and which fights match these:

    Pea vs. Ramirez 2
    Pea vs. Nelson
    Pea vs. McGirt 2
    Pea vs. Chavez
    Pea vs. Haugen

Hearns outboxed Benitez (and Leonard for most of their fight).

PBF has some good ones, but, yeah, probably not as good as Nelson and Chavez. Pea's list is hugely impressive.

Not sure there is anyone which is why he's my number 2 ATG.

Robinson probably did but the footage isn't there. Same with Pep.

Sweet Pea was so good that if fought in the cell phone era, they'd have sent out text alerts on those rare occasions when he lost a round.

Would've loved to see Pea in his prime against the really big bangers at 147, guys like Trinidad, Quartey and DeLaHoya. Even against a boxer/puncher like Mosley with that combo of speed and power.

Totally agree Sangria and I also would've loved to see that myself. I personally think he beats Felix if he was prime, and I honestly see that as a easier fight than Quartey. Trindad has shown that he can be outboxed by a good boxer and Pea is that is spades. Hoya, well, I thought a past his prime Pea won that fight anyways. Quartey I think is stylistically the worst for Pea. Pea is used to winning the Jab war in pretty much every fight he was in. Would that still be the case? Mosely, I like Shane, I just think he would be outboxed and Pea's ring generalship would win out. Just my opinion

Most people at ringside scored the fight for De La Hoya so Oscar likely deserved the result.

Packey McFarland could easily match that list.

Pea fought a good fight against Oscar, so it seems logical the he would do even better if prime. De La Hoya fought a stupid fight though. He had nearly every physical advantage over his older opponent, speed, strength, power, size and at this point probably stamina as well, and what does he do? Instead of making it physical trying steamroll the older man he chooses to box carefully against one of the best pure boxers of all time. I just can't get my head around it, what was the De La Hoya team thinking?

    Hopkins
    Toney
    Johnson
    Ruiz
    Hill

Floyd if you just use names

    Corrales
    Mosley
    Pacquaio
    Alvarez
    de la Hoya

I think a case can be made for a McGirt win in their first fight... and he was fighting with a bum shoulder.

If we are picking and choosing then how about this-

    Leonard W10 Dlck Ecklund
    Leonars KO10 Mayweather
    Leonard W10 Shields

    Leonard KO15 Benitez
    Leonard KO8 Duran
    Leonard KO9 Kalule
Leonard KO14 Hearns (not an easy win but he adapted and took over)
    Leonard W12 Hagler
    Leonard KO9 LaLonde
    Leonard W12 Duran

Except a lot of people felt DelaHoya won and that Pacquiao did enough for a draw even though he was injured. What about Castillo and Maidana?
