Canelo simply didn't do enough offensively .

He was outboxed/outpointed . Lara won the fight .

The fact that out of 89 media score cards 34 had it Canelo, 30 Lara and 25 had it a draw shows that many disagreed and felt Canelo did enough to win or at least get a draw, many also had Lara winning but to me that doesn't fall under the robbery category.

Canelo is HUGE money for boxing , his popularity , his huge mexican fanbase .

Hes the closest thing to Oscar DelaHoya so of course the boxing media is going to score it for Canelo and will always favor him in any close encounter .

Had Lara scored a knockdown , Im pretty sure he STILL would have not gotten the decision . The fight would probably came out as a Draw or a 1 point Canelo win .

It is not just media scorers though polls after the fight on all forums I viewed where split on who won.

I have defended the fact the fight wasn't a robbery despite the fact I edged it to Lara, reason being it was that close and I could understand why many had it for Canelo.
