Name me examples of fighters "with a puncher's chance" that actually won?

Tua would have gone in to most of those fights as a favourite though. Lennox and Ustinov are the only fights of his where I think "puncher's chance" would have been used to describe his chances before the fight - and he lost both.

Nonsense on both accounts. Mayorga won the damn rematch by decision.

    Hahaahhahahha!!!! Good catch!!
when Bowling for Columbine came out (I hadn't seen Roger and Me Yet) I thought Michael Moorer had gone into documentary film making lol. Of course I later found out the difference between Michael Moorer and Michael Moore.

Not sure how Mayorga vs Forrest is being listed, considering... Mayorga beat Forrest again, by decision, in the rematch.

At the time, Forest was a 6-1 favorite and Mayorga was only given a punchers chance. Mayorga won by KO, its exactly what was asked for.

In the rematch, Mayorga was still given only a punchers chance. The competitive decision win was an unexpected result.

Disagree with some. I see a puncher's chance as something thought of before the fight. If a fight plays out in a way where one guy is getting schooled and then KOs the other guy, even though he wasn't considered to have only a puncher's chance, I wouldn't include it.

Some good posts so far. How about Randall Bailey vs Mike Jones. It seemed that Bailey only threw 2 meaningful punches the entire fight. BAM - One right hand in the Tenth and One upper cut in the Eleventh. Done

Missed the post on the first page. Someone already said this fight
