he's certainly held to a higher criteria than most if not all that's for sure.....but I guess a lot of that comes with the things he says..so...meh

Corrales was never looked at as a bum for that loss. He had to lose 30lbs in 2 weeks and was obviously discombobulated from the drain. Floyd was never a heavy hitter and pretty much every punch was rocking Corrales, who could take a heavy punch prior to that fight. 30lbs in 2 weeks is no joke though, that drained corrales would have lost to most in that condition.

Pacquiao had 4 megafights in his career. Barrera I, Morales I, Marquez I and Marquez II.

He's 2-1-1 in those fights. That's jut one reason he's greater than Mayweather. And that's the biggest reason why it's completely undeniable that he is greater than Floyd.

Half of the fighters you listed aren't even relevant on a historical level, another said on camera he didn't want to fight, the last one was old by the time Mayweather hit the division.
What are all these tough fights?

Williams and Martinez would have been great opponents. And they probably would have been favored over Floyd.

Even if Mayweather lost to them he would probably be rated higher by losing to them than not fighting them at all.

What seems forgotten in alot of this is that Floyd was past prime when winning some of the fights he did.

Floyd is a great fighter and his resume is amazing. Sure there are things that can be picked on but overall it is excellent

Im not qualified to make the assessment as to whether a fighter is HOF or not, but I would think Castillo (2 x WBC LW champ) is a HOFer that Floyd beat when prime. Reigning champ when Floyd beat him

I dont think Hernandez (WBA SFW champ, WBC SFW champ) was past it and would think is a HOFer. Reigning champ when Floyd beat him

I would think Corrales (undefeated and had been IBF SFW champ) is a HOFer and prime, though do seem to recall reading something at the time about Corrales having trouble making SFW, but Corrales did fight at that weight after...

I would think that Judah (IBF LWW champ, WBO LWW champ, WBC WBA IBF WW champ, IBF LWW champ again) could be a HOFer and prime when Floyd beat him

Dont think Hatton was past prime but dont think he was fighting at a weight that he was as good at, and would think that Hatton could be a HOF fighter with his work at LWW

Dont think Cotto (WBO LWW Champ, WBA WW Champ, WBO WW Champ, WBA LMW champ, WBC MW champ) was past prime and would think he would be a HOFer. Reigning champ when Floyd beat him

Many of the fighters Floyd beat were coming off good performances even if people dont think they were prime or HOFers. Mosely, De La Hoya, Maidana, Guerrero, Ortiz, Baldomir, Gatti.

Not sure how anyone can really pick at Floyd for what he has done throughout his career?

At no point was Williams ever favored over Mayweather also Williams isn't as good historically as Mayweather opponents like Guerrero or Maidana who have had a wayyy better career and have accomplished more.

Martinez I think would a great scalp but you don't lose point for not fighting at a 6th division when only about 6/7 fighters in history has won in 5.

How do you lose points for fighting guys who are better?

Williams as a fighter as entertaining as he was, was only really a factor for about 12 months a a decade long career.

It's like Mayweather would be greater if so and so yet, so and so isn't even as good as the guys already there.

Just look at Mayweather 's resume since his comeback, JMM, Mosley, Ortiz, Cotto, Guerrero,Alvarez,Maidana,Pacquiao,&Berto

The only fighter you could argue Williams will rated higher than all time is Ortiz.

Williams was a dumb fighter. He gave up his height, and was hittable.

Not really because all parties involved in all three of those fights were over the hill.

No credit whatsoever for that win mate

What had Ricky done at 147? Luis Collazo beat the **** out him for crying out loud

Not that that stopped Floyd employing the services of Firm But Corrupt Cortez, who put in one of the most blatantly corrupt performances ever seen by a referee

    "Break!!!!!!!"

squealed Cortez as both men got within touching distance of one another

    Luis Collazo is underrated.

Hatton is known to balloon 147 was probably easier for him anyway. 140 would yield him 0 advantage against 147. Hatton was prime and he could force a fight and plenty thought hatton could best him.
