The guys who said Morrison-Bentt are spot on. To me fights like that one and Kirkland-Ishida define this subject. Nothing is worse, or funnier, than getting quickly KO'd by your cherry pick.

    Does Khan-Garcia count?

As far as embarrassing struggles that went the distance...

Only fmj could feasibly cherry pick the best in a division and the true champ. Now i see how fmj could cherry pick so much, there's not an opponent out there that wouldn't be a cherry pick during fmj pre prime and prime years. **** even his post prime fights are considered cherry picks.

I think everyone has a totally different definition of what a cherry pick is. I guess fmj was never a cherry pick gone wrong for anyone. Funny, almost everyone else is a candidate except fmj, more doubles

That is a very good one that rarely gets mentioned. Everyone on message boards at the time thought Jones was just looking to pick up a quick belt after losing to Tarver.

Glen Johnson had already lost to just about every name he fought. And that fight was about as one-sided (in Johnson's favor) as you could get, with a brutal ending to put a bow on it.

    Sanders wasn't a cherry pick.

He was in line for Lewis Byrd and Holyfield and was paid step-aside money to not fight for either their titles or to meet other in eliminators. :rofl

Wlad's team simply didnt know what they had in front of them:-(
