Name me some examples of champions taking their challenger too lightly and ended up losing?

    you know ..instances where a champion faced an opponent who he thought was a total pushover, didn't train hard and come fight night...ended up in a hellacious fight and lost.

    although not a champion, I say Haye/Bellew.

    Prior to this fight, Haye was literally going to nightclubs, having martinis on the beach, playing volleyball on yachts in Miami and not taking Bellew seriously at all. His training camp was literally an extended vacation in Miami with the occasional workout.

    Broner Vs Maidanna, i feel like Broner didn't rate Maidanna at all before the fight and was too confident of winning and maidanna ended up changing him as a fighter after solving the problem.

    Nobody even saw my man Sanders as a threat before the Wlad fight* but I knew ... KNEW that he was going to lay down the thunder. Classic underestimation. Corrie could have been up there with Tyson and Holyfield, I'm tellin ya.

    * except Farmy, apparently

    Maidana that night would have whooped every version of Broner.

    Barrera/Hamed

    Although I would argue that Barrera still would've won.
