Name me some examples where a fighter talked himself into getting a fight?

    Look at Shannon Briggs, he managed to get a shot at David Haye just by running his mouth. Likewise, David Haye did the same to get a shot at Klitschko.

    Guys like this just run their mouth, not actually fight their way to earn a shot.

    So what are examples of fighters running their mouth/talking trash to get a fight or title shot?

    Very rarely running of the mouth gets a fight made

    Haye's current position and inability to generate any interest led to the Briggs fight. Briggs running his mouth and the easy KO on the plate for Haye made it an easy decision.

    You could say Guerrero running his mouth got him Floyd but that wasn't the main reason...Floyd wanted a soft touch and they were probably already negotiating whilst Guerrero talked smack.
