He's up to about 200 pounds and doing a lot of nothing in his old neighborhood. I just happened to run across a picture of him on twitter a couple of months ago.

Terrible waste of talent, imo he would clean up this version of the 140lbs division when he was sharp

It's a shame that Gomez was so undisciplined, he had the potential to be a world champion.

And there was a buzz about Frankie here in SoCal. I saw him at StubHub a few years ago and even fairly deep on the under card he had a lot of fans.

He probably would have had a pretty decent career.

He had skills, I only really saw the Herrera fight. He beat the crap, out of Herrera.

Francisco Bojado, Larry Donald, Jeremy Williams, Johnny Tapia and a ATG that doesn't get much chatter since he never faired well against Pacquiao and was declared the loser against Marquez, Marco Antonio Barrera.

I had to do a boxrec to remember who he fought when I saw him. He KO'd some guy named Orlando Vasquez on the Matthysse/Molina under card. It was a dominant win, but also only Gomez's 17th fight.

What about Nicolas "The Axeman" Walters?

Seems he's disappeared after the Loma fight. Has he retired?
