The US HW landscape is not what it used to be, but I'm not sure he beats them all.
Haye in my opinion would be lost in the 90's HW landscape.....He would even get lost in the 90's US landscape.
Put him in a tourney with Corrie Sanders, Monte Barret, Jeremy Williams, Kirk Johnson, Oleg Maskeav, David Tua, Alex Zolkin, Larry Donald, David Izon, Derrick Jefferson, Mo Harris, Michael Grant, and let alone Ike Ibeabuchi!
None of those guys won the title, but I think Haye ends up with a wins some, and lose some record if he fights all those guys.

I agree. Although the 90's HW's were a bit smaller I think there skill level was a bit better. I don't think its impossible that Haye would win a belt but, unlikely he's just not naturally big enough. Put it this way I don't think he would have come out of retirement in the 90's.

Haye was so inactive when he was a HW that it doesn't matter who he would theoretically beat.

Sure, maybe he tears through all of the US heavies, but he'll only fight once a year (if that) and sign up for a couple more fights and pull out of them.

Then he'll re-injure himself in training camp and retire for real and we can all stop talking about this guy (except the brits, many of whom -- for some reason -- consider him to be this electrifying dervish of excitement in the ring).

I don't think he lied about his injuries. If you believe the toe issue in the Wlad fight then it makes sense that he would only want to fight if he could do himself justice.

I don't really understand his motivation. Is it for his legacy? Well he's already held a belt at HW. Is it for money? Possibly we know that boxers in the past and present have squandered millions but I have seen no evidence that he's been living a lap of luxury.

I think he should have stayed retired. He's not going to be a better boxer and he had an OK record. Was a good Cruiserweight and held a HW belt. Job done.

Tyson Lennox Tua Golota Holyfield Bowe just to name a few more. Haye would have been KOd multiple times if faced these guys.

Hating on Brits? Brook is part of my wallpaper and screensaver now (it cycles through pictures of fights I liked). I think he fought a great fight and utilized an excellent game plan. How the **** do I hate Brits? Explain.

You're right! Beating valuev does not count. The only people really considered champions at that time both had the same last name. Haye was a contender who lost in his only "real " title challenge. BTW I'll throw in herbie hide as a guy that would have given haye some trouble.

Would, Could, Should. Haye doesn't DO any of these things.

Does the name Tyson Fury ring a bell? Fury is a mediocre contender yet Haye chose to run to America from Fury. British TV stations probably also less than inclined to give the conman any more airtime.
