and before you say he can only fight whats out there, explain to me why he cannot dominate his opponents the way a young Tyson did or how Joe Louis did if he is so much better than they are

wladmir klitschko is the most overrated heavyweight in history.

his brother vitali is better than him, but i dont consider him to be a ATG either....

in terms of wladmir though, yes hes learned how to use his huge size and reach advantages to full effect, BUT against plodding, slow, and terribly overmatched fighters....

and when someone has shown any kind of speed or movement to get inside, hes been knocked the **** out (brewster, sanders, purity)

now people will draw comparisons towards lennox being knocked out by mccall and rehman (and im not particularly a fan of lewis either), but those were massive one punch KO's (and he had been complacent, and he rematched both the guys and outclassed them).

whereas wladmir wasnt just KTFO, he was knocked from pillar to post by the fighters i mentioned. so hes fought the likes of tony thompson, fat, whoops, i mean fast eddie chambers, ray austin, calvin brock, brewster, sanders, the nigerian nightmare, ibragimov, chagaev, LMAO, and in the midst of this he's been KTFO !

no way does wladmir survive with any of the ATG's at heavyweight.

Almost every linear HW champ, true. But these titlists that weren't the clear top dog, mostly are not in the HOF.

Tyson is a totally different kind of fighter, so was Louis.
He still dominates, he hardly ever loses a round. Now concider it beïng Ali or Holmes in this era, imagine how the fights will go then...

...and now concider Ali and Holmes with Wlad's chin in this era! :deal

byrd could well be, he had a pretty good run inbetween the wlad fights.

but in response to the ts's question. he does dominate his opponents. he makes it look easy (except the thompson fight)

ibragimov was boring but wlad clearly dominated. like people say he hasnt lost a handful of rounds in 5 years.

Name one Hall of Famer that was active in Wladimir's era. The only one I can come up with is old Lennox Lewis who was supposed to fight Wlad after Wlad defeats Sanders but that didn't happen.

Shannon Briggs had the linear belt and is soon to be on Vitali's resume. That's one HOFer.

Even with the lineal title I'm not sure Briggs has really accomplished enough to be inducted into The Hall.
