look at the ratings and you'll find haye up there. :yep

not saying haye is anything amazing.

but he's the best of a bad bunch.

he hits hard and is in his prime.

wlad hasn't fought many of those for a while.

tell wlad to knock off vitali's wife for a bit and set up a feud. :smooch

then they can get it on. :bbb

until then he needs to fight haye. :yep

By 2001 Lewis was only looking for superstar fights, not fighting a still green up and coming guy who happened to have a lesser alphabet belt.

You'd give him more credit for beating OAP Holyfield than the people he has fought?

Toney is the only viable one, that fight could have happened on a couple of occaisions, still most of his HOF resume came from below heavyweight.

Chris Byrd has a fairly decent HOF chance, not a dead cert though, he's the only one I can think of. The only other heavy with a HOF shout in this era is his brother.

and we all know why a wlad-lewis fight never happened.

cos wlad got bounced around like bunnies by sanders.

HBO were setting that one up nicely until that. :patsch

  5. His last fight was against 30 year old Sam Peter, in his prime and hits harder than Haye, Audley faced both before (Haye sparring and Peter as an amateur) and says Peter has by far the bigger punch.

A fighter diminishing his opponent's abilities in the build-up to a fight. Hmmm; I fear this might set a bad precedent.

  11. This interview was actually before the Haye fight was agreed.

Right! most underrated era in history,
but most haters are having delusion about the division and nothing
will stop that, in time people will wake up.....

i think chris byrd might be the first fighter to break the mcguigan rule: he wasnt even as good as barry...(still agree he'll get in though for being so small at heavy)

as for wlad, he hasn't been any HOF fighters. there's MAYBE some close calls and grasping at straws and even if ****ing elios castillo or tony thompson get in, it still doesn't make them quality

however, as has been said it's wlad's dominance that does it. not every fighter has a HOF era in which to dominate/compete. but he's destroying everyone out there. i want him to have a defining bout against an ATG heavy but if there is one out there, he's too young for wlad to fight before he retires

    i disagree he's dominant.

when he beats haye he's truly dominant.

and even better his brother. :yep

    and that's wladimir's problem.

    he needs a big fight.

just as much as haye does in truth. :deal
