And I don't mean stepping into the ring heart because I applaud them all for just being able to to that. I'm talking about "when the going gets tough" heart.
Geale and Rubio quit against Triple G after not sustaining near as much damage as i wanted to see, the punks. Broner acting like he got hit with a truck after the Maidana headbutt tap was pretty shameful too.
Not fair to say broner didn't show heart. He acted like a jacka$$ to try and get a call sure. But he showed toughness in that fight, after taking quite the beating he rallied and took it to maidana in the end.
I don't really like the notion of fans saying fighters who lack heart. Half the time someone says a name it just reveals to me they know **** all of what they are talking about. For instance, take Ortiz. Against Maidana he was getting absolutely slaughtered. People need to go back and rewatch the amount of massive head shots he was taking. He was getting decimated and he had no answeres. Soooo, he should just keep getting concused in a fight he obviously felt he couldn't win in? Its absurd Then again against Lopez, the guy barely made it out of that fight with his career with how bad his jaw was.... but of course, everyone out there whose never had a broken jaw before will bring up how Ali fought with one and call Ortiz a quitter. Get the **** outta here Fighters like Haye, Cotto, ect, getting mentioned in here, guys whos training camps would filter out most of the pussies here mentioning their name, get labeled weak hearted.... its just absurd. meh... rant over. Carry on about how fighters who swap punches with the best punchers in the world but know when to fold, lack heart. Its interesting that no matter how many fighters a year wind up in comas because they didn't concede when maybe they should have, people still have no problem typing about what fighters should have continued their beatings longer. But that certainly has to be weighed with the 'relative' effect, doesn't it? And as spectators, are we not going to evaluate the trait of what fighters are more willing to march through harm for victory more then others? It is indeed an often visible trait. Idk.... its a fine line and a slippery slope, imo.
I agree. I think Ortiz is actually a warrior and cops way too much criticism. Geale was poor against GGG. Looked terrified.
