The difference is Kovalev is a complete fighter and he is an intelligent fighter. Something which most of the fighters listed in this thread are not. They dumb yall.

RJJ at his best has no chin and no fight game. He all speed and reflexes. All Kov has to do is sit back and let jones come in and wham. Easiest fight of his career. He is not going to be chasing jones and swinging at air. He will deliver precision time devastation bombs on jones weak beak.

Of course the reality is now jones sucks and my neighbor could kick has ass but whatever.

Bumlovkin is so protected it would be funny if it weren't so SAD. The people over at HBO who run their boxing division should be ashamed of themselves for asking their subscribers to PAY for events like the Wade fight. Honestly, I thought racketeering was illegal.

    Probably Jean Pascal. :deal

or the one who dropped ward. kovalev and stopped stevenson. Darnell Boone.

Not that i think it matters, when roy gets hit flushed he is so far gone not even the gods can wake him up.

Ruiz landed his right hand flush on Jones - and Roy didn't go anywhere.

I'm sorry to disappoint you and your Kanvalev wet dreams where he has you bent over giving you a thorough rectal exam - but - Kanvalev ain't punching harder than Ruiz. Not happening, Einstein...

I'd protect him too if he were my fighter.

Dude is there to be had.

Why do you think Lara is jumping up and down for a chance to fight him.

He sees that mofo is SLIPPING.

hes hitting far harder p4p sonny jim. what a woofter you are. :patsch

and he would hit jones alot harder than the sloth ruiz. :rofl

man ruiz would be beaten by anyone with an ounce of speed inshape. hearns probably would have UD'd him, fighters 30lbs lighter than ruiz like leonard would probably done the job.
i forgot a blob of james toney smashed ruiz up with counter rights all night, a fat hideous toney, did it in better fashion.

Its not a big achievement. Why didnt he fight legit cruiserweights.

he should have fought have beat better men at hw. he came down and got stomped, not my problem.

    kovalev breaks ward in 3.

The principles are the same behind every sport. Boxing relies heavily on strenght and conditioning training, speed, power and endurance play a major part in boxing. You can be a technical genious with high ring IQ but if you face a much more athletic decent fighter he will put a beating on you. This was true in the old times too that's why you see all those old school boxers running and doing strenght exercises, it's just that their methods sucked and their nutrition was bad too. Read what Jack Dempsey thought was a good boxing training, he had caveman methods that have been proven wrong again and again.

By the logic of people like you boxers who use modern training methods, facilities and equipment are just wasting their time because some guy from 1940s was supposedly better using caveman training regime.

If good nutrition and supplements don't matter why do fighters waste time and money hiring top nutritionist experts?

Maybe you should tell the entire boxing industry to stop wasting millions and just skip rope and punch heavy bag all day like Jack Dempsey and Joe Louis.

Modern elite boxer like Kovalev would destroy all of those guys

RJJ resume is filled with his own KO's. Knocked out 5 times. Brilliant.
