A past prime GGG would be able to beat the past ATG’s, or at least be incredibly competitive.

If he makes it to the cards he wins. You know how it goes.

DLH, Tito, Duran Hearns, Norris , He already beat ggg but he hasn't done enough to be considered a ATG.

No. Ggg had hell with the smaller and still not completely primed Canelo, Don't forget Jacobs whose not close to a ATG and got beat by Derverchenko.

    :deal:

ATG power, chin, jab, footwork and pressure. Every shot in the book. 345-5 am record. No known weaknesses

Some people just don't recognise Greatness when it's been staring them right in the face

Why would you randomly throw in Pac at 157 lol

He barely gets near making the 147 limit

That's middleweight Oscar who was no where close to an ATG. He should of been 0-2 at middleweight. The 147- 154 Oscar is a different animal.

Cuz canelo ain’t making that weight again!!
Pac will weigh 145.5 & Nelo will weigh in At catch weight of 157lb then rehydrate to 175lbs in fight night!
    That sounds about right.

True but if Hopkins legacy takes a jump up for beating MW Oscar then Nelo should be able to claim that scalp too. After all he is fighting at that weight.

True. But I think that it would fair in an ATG match, that the fight would happen at 154 or at least a catch weight of say 157.
After all Mayweather fought Canelo at 152 and he gets all kinds of credit for that victory.

If Davey Moore can beat Kalule, so can Canelo.

154: I think he probably stops Terry Norris. Wouldn't rule him out in a shoot-out with Trinidad, either. Second tier on a 154lb top ten list is probably his ceiling, H2H.

160: Could see him waxing Nunn in come from behind fashion like Toney. Speaking of which, I could see him beating Lights Out via close decision, too. Toney could certainly switch off even in fights where he was in control. Fact is, it's very difficult to beat Canelo out-right, and that makes it hard to get the decision against him.

    yeah that would be fair.

Oscar best weight was 147lb for sure
& I think canelo is much better @ 160lb then he ever was early on at 147-154lb

What? How much of Kalule have you watched? He's awful for Canelo. The guy was boxing evenly with a prime Sugar Ray Leonard and prime Sambu Kalambay. Why is losing to Moore a bad thing? The guy iced Wilfred Benítez, hence why people rank Durán's win over him so highly; he was very talented. Stylistically, Kalule offers what Canelo struggled with vs Lara but more skill.

Nunn is the same, Toney was a better MW than Canelo, he had a much higher volume and clearly harder. The way Toney broke Nunn down isn't available for Canelo. He ain't beating Toney.

Norris is an ATG? 154 Tito would beat Canelo imo, but it's pretty close to a 50/50. He'd beat a MW Tito.

Canelo has been clearly beat. Twice. Both by men closer to 40 than 30.

No he fights too conservatively, even though Hearns was better at 147 and 154 than at 160, Canelo could never have gone toe to toe with Hagler the way Hearns did though, that was vicious.
