Shocking. can't see how you can give b-hop the win when he spoiled and threw next to **** all midway on and faked low blows whilst Calzaghe racked up the points. Cortez ref as well:-(

Burglary is Ottke v Reid or Sturm v Macklin or most recently Cox v Sai. It is laughable to suggest a robbery in b-hops favour, laughable.

Calzaghe would of danced round Froch all ****ing night pumping that jab and win by 8-4 minimum. Calzaghe is MASSIVELY UNDER-RATED on here and by you in particular. Lets not forget prime Hopkins ducked Joe by doubling his demands for the fight in 24 hours. Calzaghe is not the better boxer no way, but his stamina and workrate is/was the difference.

Right been thinking about this and 2 recent examples I've got are Juan Carlos Salgado & Celestino Caballero.

Salgado's shock win vs Linares didn't prove anything about his skill set, just that he has a fairly decent dig on him. The Uchiyama performance was a much better read into his actual standing at SFW and to be honest after that I didn't expect to hear much more about him really. When he got the Mendez fight I just thought of it as getting an opportunity because he was a 'name' in quite a weak division and that he would lose quite comfortably.

But then he goes on and wins and can now say that he is a 2 time World champion. To be honest, I've only seen highlights of the fight but I got the impression it was more a poor performance from Mendez than anything special from Salgado. To me he is a poor mans Margarito (and not even the prime Margarito, more like the blundering version of the Mosley fight onwards) so I have to say that in all honesty, he's an overachiever for me.

I don't think overachieved is quite the right word to describe Caballero's career but I definitely have the feeling that he has in the past earnt a big reputation of the back of a pretty nasty looking style. The talk of him as p4p top ten of the other year shocked me I have to say because I've never found him to be a techincally sound boxer.

He has used his physical attributes to his advantage well throughout his career with a somewhat rangy style which must be a nightmare for smaller men to have to deal with. He also throws a lot of punches and is more a fighter geared towards accumulation rather than accuracy. Don't get me wrong it has undoubtedly been effective but when the talk was of him being amongst the top 10 boxers p4p in the world, I was scratching my head a bit to be honest.

The technique he uses to throw his punches is horrible frankly and with pretty poor footwork too imo, it's been a shock that he's done so well. The Molitor win obvioulsy increased the hype around him but tbh I don't really rate Molitor highly and the stiffness of his style did lend itself quite nicely to Caballero's long range counters.

But in truth I think his style would have got found out by any well schooled, disciplined fighter. Even Jason Litzau outhustled him for God's sake. I reckon Gamboa, Juanma & R.Marquez all would have had a fairly comfortable nights work with him really if they had met. So the point I've been basically trying to make is that I think the reputation Caballero has earnt in the past has meant he has overachieved in his career becuase at the heart of it, he's not a particularly special fighter at all tbh.

Bellew is over-achieving more than Calzaghe pal.
The lad loads all his punches up and has no real set up work. Has made his name off the back of Cleverly and calls for a shot when he has no real basis to other than being a mouthy ****er.

    Real talk:good

Ricky Hatton surely deserves to be on the list. No boxer is the history of the sport with such limited all round ability has made anywhere near the money Richard has, not even close. He was slightly above average, nothing more.

Here we go again, its all woulda, coulda, shoulda.....he never did it against anyone else so why would it have been any different against Froch? Dance??? Don't make me ****ing laugh...his recent TV appearances proved beyond a doubt that that word isn't even in his vocabulary.

He would of peppered Froch with his jab all night and kept the fight at range. Froch would lunge desperately like he did against Dirrell and would get flurried in a counter. Calzaghe was a good at countering and had Froch's number.

Froch is really slow and has a terrible defense. It would be the downfall against Joe.

The expression dance is used by me in the event of Joe winning handily.

BTW I lobve Froch, just know that Calzaghe would of got the 'W'

P.S it will always be shoulda, woulda, coulda when a fighter is promoted by Frank cos his fighters never really get the fights the fans want. Calzaghe would of fought the Froch of now if it would of been around the time the fight was originally mooted. Froch had one good win over Taylor when he came looking pal and not the run he has now.

A solid punch to the body throughout his career helped certainly. The LWW 140 division wasn't exactly brimming either. It is way better now than it was at any point of Hatton's career imo.
