i think ken achieved ATG status in his time. his win over laguna in the terrific heat was the stuff of greatness. How many boxers have been able to perform so great in that heat. also we are taliking about the days of 15 round bouts

    barry mcguigan had ATG potential

You could argue that curry achieved greatnes in his 4 years as welter champ and short light middle title stint

I heard that Thomas Hearns couldn't put a hand on breland when they sparred before the hitmans demo of DURAN. Mark was more interested in films than boxingf

I disagree with some saying Judah couldve been an ATG. This title of ATG shouldnt be used lightly. Judah would be lucky to be a HOF so ATG is out of his grasp IMO. I agree that NAZ is a HOF but not at ATG. Same with Bowe and D L Hoya IMHO.

Donald Curry was a hell of a fighter during a 3-4 year period, but we're talking about ATG status.

He's no ATG although he had great skills and abilities.

WHOA.....I am no Zab fan, but lets be serious. I have been watching boxing for 20+ years now and I can honestly tell you, I can count the number of people that I saw that were better from a pure talent/skill standpoint on one hand (and all except maybe RJJ would be arguable...).

Speed was amazing. Power was amazing. Fundamentals were amazing. He looked to have it all....until we found out he didnt have neither the chin nor the mental makeup to become what his godgiven talent could have made him.

Trust me, just going by the question posed by the original poster....Zab Judah is the clear cut, perfect answer to this.

Well JMM has, in my opinion, maxed out his potential. He isnt that fast and he doesnt have much in the way of power, but his timing and fundamentals are off the charts.
