The Thrilla in Manila and Rumble in the Jungle are the first that come to mind.

I'm pretty sure in the documentaries they show the presidents attending the fights.

Btw is Obama a Boxing fan? I remember a picture with him in his former office and he had a picture of Ali on the wall. Bhop thanked Obama after the Pavlik fight and said that Obama watched the fight.

I think Obama is a sports fan in general.

I know John McCain is a big boxing fan.

yep John McCain was apart of the boxing team during his days in the naval academy.

He's the statesman always pushing for reforms to boxing and has tried many times to get Jack Johnson pardoned.

I just did a google search and found out this interesting fact:

US President Teddy Roosevelt lost sight in one eye after a boxing match. He was a member of the Harvard boxing team.

edit: don't know if it's true though... not a legit source

    edit II: seems very legit!

Don't know how I've never known this.

    No doubt...

**** political POV, everybody should love Teddy.

I read that he actually lost his eyesight while boxing in the White House during his presidency, not while he was at Harvard. I mean, what kind of badass is that? "Clear the dining room, invite the ladies, pour out the liquor, and let us have a pugilistic affair!!!!" Seriously though who was he boxing? I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that.
