Peter has been shot for a long time now (McCline & VK ruined him), but he would still give those guys a slugging war. :!:

Uh, if there was a Super Heavyweight Divison...Peter, Arreola, Tua, Solis, Rahman, and the like would all be in it.

Than you consider Chambers dominated Dimitrenko and Haye beat the biggest guy around in Valuev...maybe Wlad and Vitali are just good big men. Just a thought..., just throwing that out there.

If that is true, then Dimitrenko, Valuev, Tyson Fury, Ray Austin would all be ranked besides the Klitschko brothers above Haye, Adamek, Chambers, etc. because they are also big.

The reason they aren't is because they're not skilled enough to be on those levels.

Look at Lewis, Wlad, and Vitali weights. They are simply comparable.

Lewis weights. He weight 253 for Rahman I, 246 for Rahman II, 253 for Vitali, 245 for Tua, 247 for Grant, 250 for Botha, 251 for McCall II, 249 for Tyson, and 247 for Mercer.

Compare with Wlad. 247 for Peter II, 240 for Chagaev, 244 for Chambers, 241 for Thompson, 238 for Ibragimov, 246 for Austin, 241 for Brock, 238 for Byrd I, and 243 for Brewster II.

Don't believe me? Look at Boxrec and you'll see.

Lewis weight just the same as the Wlad Klitschko.

By definition, the World Heavyweight Champion is supposed to be able to beat any man on the planet.

If he can't beat a 240-pound guy, then he doesn't deserve to be called the World Heavyweight Champion. That's why the weight at heavyweight is UNLIMITED and always has been.

That's why you don't have to make weight or even weigh a certain amount. That's why guys weighing barely 170 pounds and guys who've weighed 300 pounds have fought for the heavyweight title.

That's what YOU don't seem to get.

The heavyweight champion doesn't mean you can beat everyone from 147 to 154, and you aren't expected to beat anyone above or below that ... being the heavyweight champion means you can beat EVERYONE.

    Dummy.

Exactly, but thats the problem my man. If there were an option for these guys then they could do either A) Be fat (solis/arreola) and be forced to fight superhw type guys or B) get in shape and dominate a 200-230lb division.

Imagine if Solis/Arreola were around 225-230 in a 200-230lb division? THEY would be the dominant fighters. You know what I'm saying? These smaller guys that are weighing in at a ridiculous 240+ pounds (arreola/solis) deserve to get their ass kicked. But then again, if they have two Klits in the division why are they going to go through the effort when their ultimate reality is fighting guys that they can't beat?

They are very good big men, but the original posters idea is an idea worth thinking about.

Course it's not an original idea, but having Valuev vs some 6ft 220 pounds guy? Really??????

Peter, Arreola etc would jus have to get in shape!:happy

Lennox Lewis weights 249 for Tyson, 253 for Rahman I, 256 for Vitali, 251 for McCall II.

He'd be a superheavyweight. Was the heavyweight division ruined when he ruled it?

Doesn't the UFC have a HW and a SHW division? And their HW guys get mad respect. Having a world HW champion within a specific weight range doesn't take away from the magnitude of their accomplishments. On the flip side, you got shw sized guys fighting guys who SHOULD be weighing in around a normal HW range. You people dont seem to realize that back when HW boxing was golden, the Foremans/Ali/Frazier type guys, hell even way back with big guys like Jack Johnson - they all weighed in around 210-220. Thats TINY in comparison to these Klits.

Chagaev was only 8lbs of fat over 220lbs...

Shot Holyfield was 214lbs & only 2" taller than 6ft...

....Of course i realise Sugar Nikky clearly won those fights by a whitewash & was disgracefully robbed against Chagaev!

    -Haye and Chageav did fine.

-Not happening. Also easy to forget Arreola is like 6'4"..only two inches shorter than Wlad.

How about when Lennox Lewis ruled it?

ook at Lewis, Wlad, and Vitali weights.

Don't believe me? Look at Boxrec and you'll see.

Lewis weight just the same as the Wlad Klitschko.

He did not rock out at 230 lbs. He's a superheavyweight, as was Bowe.

Was heavyweight boxing ruined when they were ruling it?

    This is my point.

OBVIOUSLY, a LOT of the current smaller sized heavyweights ARE weighing in as superheavyweights BECAUSE the present HW division IS essentially a SUPER heavyweight division.

What incentive do they have to get trimmed up and in shape around 215lbs or so when they ultimately have to fight 250lb ****ing monsters????????

    Answer me that!

If they can't do it for pride, they won't do it for anything.
