    Mavrovic lost by decision. And the fight was closer than the score
    cards of the judges. When Lennox got ktfo it was against glorified
    journeymen in McCall and Rahman.

    Agree. Tyson's reign of terror in the 80s and undisputed
    unification against solid superheavies in top form was
    better than Lewis. If Lewis entered the pros at the same time
    as Tyson Lewis would be another Tyson victim. The only version
    of Tyson that Lewis even peak or prime could beat was
    the shot to shi* Version that showed up in 2002. Lennox
    certainly is one of the greatest heavyweights ever, that is
    a fact, head to head and legacy wise. Also one of my
    personal faves. When he beat a shot Tyson many people
    including myself, I was 18 at the time, considerd him
    the best of his era. Different era from 80sa though. Lewiss
    first pro fight was in 89.

    I really dont know who to call elite, but lewis had trouble with bruno, mercer, briggs and mavrovic. the fights with mavrovic and mercer were the least one sided of the two.

    I think that Tucker exposed Lewis' lack of top-flight experience a bit in that fight. Tucker did well to come back after looking for all the world like it was going to be another easy night for Lewis.

    According to Magnanasakki who posts in Classic and has sparred with Lewis, Foreman, Wlad and others, southpaws gave Lewis fits in the gym. Just saying.

    Lennox struggeled immensely with Mavrovich. Not because Mavrovich was so good, it was just because Lennox was once again apathetic, ill-prepared and totally unmotivated.

    At times Lewis exhibited a carelessness and cockiness that probably paved the way for his two TKO losses.
