    Good one Jake! Many don't remember Ray, what an crowd-pleaser! In clinches, he hit fighters whose heads were behind him with reverse shots; plus he was the first fighter (before Ali) who would pretend to be hurt and then suddenly attack. He fought out of Washington state didn't he?
    He just never quite had the raw physical talent to take it to the next level...

    But a true show-boat crowd pleaser...

    Not only was he unorthodox in just about every way, his left hooks came from wayy out in left field...and were pretty damned effective!

    Dennis Andries before he joined the Kronk was the most ungainly fighter I ever saw. He couldn't throw a right hand without falling over for most of career.

    Some of Monzon's punches seemed to come from impossible angles. Seems like a characteristic of the Argentine fighters.
