Are we going to count Ngannou, the 0-1 MMA fighter as "prime" and "top 10"?

    Still working this list out

Still just Joseph Parker by my estimation.

Maybe Joshua can add Dubois to this if he wins the rematch?

    Hoping for the best.

When you say prime top 10 are you referring to governing bodies or fan top 10 ratings like The Ring?
It's also what is prime and how it is defined which can be very much how someone wants to see it like did Usyk beat prime Fury for example
    Still
Looking at The Ring current top 10

Champ Usyk has beaten (3) in the current ratings
    #1 Fury (0)
    #2 Dubois (2)
    #3 Parker (1)
    #4 Zhang (0)
    #5 Kabayel (0)
    #6 Bakole (0)
    #7 Joshua (1)
    #8 Hrgovic (1)
    #9 Ajagba (0)
    #10 Huni (0)

So outside of Usyk and Dubois which current top 10 fighters do you feel have beaten more than 1 current top 10 prime fighter in your opinion?

Who mentioned current? You can create a separate thread for that if you want. I'm asking how many TOTAL prime top 10 HW's Joshua has defeated.

I'm sure there are many, because, as you've said, he has the Best HW Resume.

    Must have misread re current
Can't recall if I said best. May have done, may not. Did say I think it was debatable and was talking currently not historically
Prime who was in the top 10 when he faced and beat them, I would say Parker, Martin, Ruiz, Wallin with the Ring
Wouldn't say Wladimir was in his prime but was still rated at #1, so not sure quite what emphasis that would have as I expect at #1 could likely have still beaten several prime HWs
I don't know if Whyte was in any top 10 rating but would think he was around his prime and I'm guessing Breazeale was in the WBA ratings (not sure if in their top 10) to have been a title defence and would think he was in his prime

Povetkin is an under rated victory he ****** Joshua's nose up pretty bad on the way to getting taken out. Everyone bangs on about he is reluctant to come through adversity he certainly did there, any version of Povetkin is a solid test. He uppercutted Whyte to the shadow realm after this and before this disconnected the plumber from Liverpool from reality.

    If you add a 0 to the 1 I guess its 10.

Also Parker probably was before his prime.

Prime is generally defined around 28 years old in combat sports (balance of athleticism and experience). So for a definition of prime you can probably go 4 to 5 years either side. So I'd probably say 24-33 years old. Prime can be extended through clean living and great technique/great experience.
But I don't think this is controversial to define it as strictly 24-33 for the purposes of this thread.

So then it is quite easy to then check that against a list of top ten wins (defined through agreement between The Ring + TBRB).

    So for Joshua:
    (1) Charles Martin (age 29): top 10 tbrb, top 10 ring
    (2) Joseph Parker (age 26): top 5 tbrb, top 5 ring
    (3) Andy Ruiz (age 30): top 5 tbrb, top 5 ring
    (4) Otto Wallin (age 33): top 5 tbrb, top 10 ring

That is as objective as I can be on it. I was being way too generous to the division as a whole earlier in the thread. Reality is that there aren't many wins over prime top 10 opponents across the division, but Joshua has double anyone else, sadly.

Based on The Ring ratings, at the time of the fight, if I remember correctly:

    Charles Martin #7
    Dillian White #9
    Wlad Klitchko #3
    Joseph Parker #2
    Andy Ruiz #3
    Sacha Povetkin #8
    Pulev #10
    Otto Wallin #10

Charlies Martin, Green Dillian Whyte, and Prime Otto Wallin were NOT top 10 fighters. Period.

It's up to you if you want to count a 283lb Andy Ruiz as either top 10, or prime. I do not.

Klitschko, Povetkin, Pulev were far from prime so they're out.

    It's just Joseph Parker.
