I'd like to see him square off against Richard Torrez Jr while both are on their ways up.

I was big on Gurgen, but he had a very tough fight vs a game and underestimated opponent last time round after an extended break. He did come thru adversity when it was put on him tho. Is he in line to be transferred over to the 'never went anywhere' (as a pro.) category stacked with so many other eastern heavyweights? That list is a long one.

Did you not read the title of this thread. Let's stop acting like gaining a world title makes you a household name. Especially since Davis just won his title less than a week ago.

He's a talented individual and those that actually follow this sport pro &/or amateur respect his ability, he is still a relatively unknown name in the sense of being a star.

Davis´ name was in every boxing publication news cycle, so I wouldn´t call him an unknown fighter.

Issei Aramoto gets my vote. His style is made for the pros and IMO he will likely surpass Murata.

Davis is not a household name. Obviously those who are fans of the sport know of him. People involved in the sport as well, but for the casual who simply show up for the festivities and only care about 'Rock Em Sock Em' fights to end in glorious knockouts, most don't know his name nor face.

There was a group of chicks at the bar I watch his last fight in who though he was Crawford's brother, regardless of his name being at the bottom of the screen.....lol.

As far as Issei Aramoto......is that the same kid from the Olympics? Or maybe it was the World Championships...... Someone posted a video of him on another site. I do look forward to him growing in the sport.

Davis is definitely not a household name, but his name is out there.

Aramoto, I actually know little of him. I saw some training and sparring footage, and his pro debut. He looks like a solid prospect.
