Wilder doesn't have better footwork, it's not even remotely close. Wilder keeps to a wide stance, is completely flatfooted and his movements are basic. His handspeed is really impressive though, esp his 1 2.
I'm not really sure if he "does" anything better than Wlad, but he does have faster hands and longer arms.
I really don't think a single thing and I'm not sure any aspect is particularly close. Wilder isn't even "very good." Wladimir is legitimately great. ...foot speed, maybe??
He has more power than Wlad, that's for certain. He takes a punch better than Wlad. Everything else is probably Wlad.
Wlad is clearly superior is most areas. Stronger, hits harder, better footwork, balance, technique, defence etc. Wilder is more aggressive and may have a slight edge in hand speed, Wlad isn't as fast as he once was. Wilder is also taller and has a longer reach. Wilder has a very good 1,2 combination, his jab is longer, sharper but his right hand is telegraphed sometimes unlike Wlad's which is impossible to read. So it's clear Wlad is a big favourite and rightly so. While Wilder is the most athletic fighter Wlad has fought since Haye, it's also true Wlad is practically super human compared to the opposition Wilder has been facing.
He takes a punch better than Wlad? I didn't see him get cleanly hit, with the exception of one punch I think in the 11th round in the entire Stiverne match. Every time the commentators reacted to what they thought was a big shot by Stiverne, when they replayed it in slow motion between rounds showed that he really hadn't been hit with anything more than glancing blows at best and they took back their initial take on the punches.
I also didnt see strong clean punch right on the button from Stiverne. Most of his shots was block or not landed full force. That of course was his problem and in some way thanks to Wilder. Wilder have rly, rly fast hands, but i dont think its faster then Wlad, but i maybe wrong in this one. His footwork isnt great, he was moving slow, but he have long legs and have long stride. But if there was a guy who can cut off the ring well, he would be in trouble. Stiverne was ultimate slow. The one thing that impress me with Wilder was, when he find his back close to the rope he was hitting Stiverne and backs him up. Didnt just try to move out of Stiverne range, but he was throwing shots, which was very, very good. He got to learn when to clinch, cause that is a great tool and 100% will be needed. He have great potential and its young. In my mind thats his biggest strength over Wlad, that he is 10 years younger then Wlad. I dont have problem with Wilder, but his opponent before the Stiverne fight was garbage and that wasnt good, atleast in my eyes. Its looks like they was scared of good opponent, or atleast mid level opponent. I want to see him fight Wach, Pulev, Povetkin, tho im not give him big chances esp against last 2. Haye or Fury fight will be good as well. I also think he need to work on his behaviour in the ring, inside the ring as well.
He talks faster then Wlad does and he repeats his sentrence much more often then Wlad does, maybe he needs to do that many times and after repeatining and repeating he slowly is sura about what he said.. IQ between 10-15 Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12, Who said i can't go 12...
Height and reach are the only things he bests Wlad in. I have always wondered how Wlad will do against someone if he was the shorter fighter. But wilder ain't beating him in s millions years.
Faster hands? :rofl Better footwork? Oh and thank God you weren't sure about better jab. For a second there I thought you were trolling us... Oh wait!
