Name the boxers who you dislike and explain why

Hopkins, superstar in his own mind and made a career out of defending his middleweight title against blown up welters including Oscar, Tito and Simon Brown. Also fought Robert Allen 3 times for goodness sake. Went life and death with a bang average Mercano for his vacant belt (RJJ did him a favour there) while scraping himself off the floor several times in that fight to barely earn a draw.

On top of that he is deeply stupid, talks nonsense and was the most boring fighter ever. Literally cried his way through the Calzaghe fight. Pleased that his career ended with Joe Smith smashing him out of the ring on the floor.

 

Agree def Thurman. Never actually beat a champion, just handed vacant belts including the worthless WBA regular one. Collazo end of fight against him was very questionable.

True, Wilder was saying he wants a body on his record. Then you remember how Marciano was thinking of even quitting boxing after the devastating beating he delivered to Carmine Vingo to whom he was visiting at the hospital and was asking literally for forgiveness. Unlike Wilder, you can often see Rocky honestly smiling and talking nice to others.

As for Ali, I'd even add he used some tactics that aren't really allowed. And is maybe the father of the trash talk in boxing - something I never liked, nor will ever do. But we see it more and more in the sport. And I don't care, as you say, only for one's sport achievements, as they bring nothing to people, athletes are entertainers, the only way they can bring something valuable to the society is a good example on top of their achievements.

Why not, who gives a s*** how tall Fury is, he's a bit of a giant anyway...

 

Any boxer that gets a gift decision and knows it, but still claims they won the fight - they go straight on my list.

 

I hated Prince Naseem at the time just due to his arrogance.....

But looking back his entertainment value was great..... and my view changed quite a bit....

 

I hate boring fighters

 

Great boxers that make lots of money.... Live life without boundaries.... Lose all their money.... And then have to either fight as old men...

And don't hate them as boxers.... But frustrated... Like somebody that wins the lottery and then has to beg for money a few years later
