I think Calzaghe could beat anyone Hopkins list as he is a better fighter than B-Hop and anyone but John Ruiz on Roy Jones' list. This thread is no more pathetic than the threads by people who say Calzaghe beat no one though even though both Hopkins and Jones have great resumes because Calzaghe's resume is no weaker than there's except maybe a little bit with Jones but the fighters who fought these were just over hyped Calzaghe type opponents for the most part.

Pavlik was a hell of a lot more hyped though.

pavlik was 34-0, had beaten edison miranda and jermaine taylor twice, he is the WBC and WBO middleweight champion, who do you think would get more hype?

Using 'elite' in reference to top-rated fighters and champions Calzaghe beat:
    Chris Eubank
    Robin Reid
    Bernard Hopkins
    Mikkel Kessler
    Jeff Lacy
(Both Hopkins and Eubank were in the twilight of their careers. Eubank practically at the end)

Now you compare those against RJJ's and B-Hop's and we'll see what you come up with.

There's no way he can do that properly.

Lacy was certainly the favourite to beat Calzaghe. Shows what the odds mean. My facts are correct.

i'm talking about tito - and as usual you're avoiding arguments you canøt win.

lacy had solid US hype and i'm not downplaying joe's win.

    This is a real thread...okay:nono

Jones...McCallum, Griffin, Hopkins, Toney, Ruiz, and Woods (who was never better than when Jones thumped him).
Hopkins...Trinidad, De La Hoya, Eastman, Segundo, and PAVLIK

Reid and Kessler would be comparable, maybe Lacy too.

reid, kessler and lacy don't even deserve to be seen in the same ring as felix trinidad and james toney.
