Name the fighter

I know he lost twice to an Australian fighter called Jack Carroll in a clash of Welterweight contenders.

Carroll was a master boxer who possessed virtually no punching power owing to the fact he slapped and used his laces to try to cut his opposition but was considered a serious threat to Barney Ross due to his cute style.Unfortunately Carroll never received a title shot owing to the fact that he never ventured out of Australia to fight.

Apparently Carroll comfortably outboxed the aggressive van Klaveran for two easy victories without ever seriously hurting him which is all I know concerning Bep van Klaveren.

 

We also had Reggie Tuur, WBU world champ in Don Diego Poeder, we still have Ray Joval at mw and some good euro champs like Alex Blanchard

 

Wim Snoek who knocked down Ingemar Johansson for a minute and another euro champ in Pedro van Raamsdonk.
