...been ruined due to being close, or basically ruined by fans. Example: A great action bout, back and forth, two warriors going at it for 12 rounds. BUT, it was a close bout that could have gone either way based on opinion. Yet, said bout is only remembered by fans who bring it up to argue who won...not how good it actually was :-(
Aye, that's a given... You, Sir, have hit the nail on the head. Absolutely spot on. As I went on to this thread I had it in my mind to put JMM-Pac 3, but yeah, you're more spot on than me.
Obviously, this also will bring about Mayweather vs. Castillo I. I'm not sure it's great, but is def a good fight ruined, as you say. Williams vs. Martinez I seems to only be brought up to hate on Williams. Actually, that phase has died down, but still... Cotto vs. Clottey too. All of these three because they also seem to always come up when another agenda is at stake.
Good shouts :good Good or great bouts really. I just don't see why some can't focus on the positives...
That's a great shout. I forgot about that one (how could I?) I had Hagler up, by the way, but Leonard is/was good for television.......so....
